Click, Clack, Boo! A Tricky Treat
by Doreen Cronin
IL by Betsy Lewin
Halloween is a terrifying time for Farmer Brown, whose
intellectual score comes in lower than any of the animals on his farm. When the
farm animals party, each noise brings forth a nightmarish idea as to what’s
making the “crunches, creaks, taps, and quackles. Quackle? Even Farmer Brown
knows there’s something odd going on. Once again, Doreen Cronin uses the power
of words (as seen in the sign pinned to the barn) to show that Farmer Brown’s
animals are smarter than he.
PS I left this library book outside and it rained. But that’s
okay. I wanted to buy it anyway.
