“I’m bored!” I know you’ve heard this. “Use your imagination!”
I answer. “How?” That’s when you pull out this book, Journey. Watch (there are
no words) the little girl use her red crayon to draw herself into different
worlds. If she hits a “road block,” her crayon moves her forward. There’s a
sweet ending when she uses her crayon to reunite a boy and his lost parrot.
It’s even sweeter when he draws a hoop to match her own, for the reader knows he’ll
join her in more adventures.
